Room scheduling has been a problem throughout SXSW, but this takes the cake:

I’m hoping to help in addressing this problem next year, but one thing we will need is early expressions of interest from folks.
Here are my proposed changes: – remove room assignments from the the printed book (they won’t appear until the mini-guide)
- get the calendar available earlier or some similar method of allowing attendees to express interest (e.g. by adding a panel to iCal)
- use hits on the panel full description pages as another indicator of interest (but with the caveat that it might just point to confusing titles)
What do you think? Good starting points? How else could we guess better?
