I too use Dreamhost from last 2 years and I think till now I haven’t face any major issue with this. I am quite happy with that. It’s also free. What’s say?

I’d recommend ICDSoft. Very affordable, and lots of features. Not sure if they do shell access, but I’ve never needed it for even relatively advanced funcationality. For more info, see: http://icdsoft.com/

I use Dreamhost and think they are great. Lots of features and their system is quite easy to manage, even though it’s not flawless. But then again, who is… Promo codes are easy to find. I can generate a $97 off code for you (the best one), just contact me.

I use Cornerhost to host my sites. I like Michal's hosting so much I took advantage of a limited opportunity to buy lifetime service. But that also means I have a $261.36 credit for services (about 16 months of a shell account!) previously pruchased, which I'm offering for $150. Great service and a great deal.
